Mary Elizabeth Clontz "Libby" Woody went to be with the Lord December 28th, 2007 due to an unexpected illness. She was a native of Haywood County, and lived in Transylvania and Henderson county all of her life. She was preceded in death by one son; William Thomas "Billy" Woody, and two sisters; Patsy Moore and Helen Rhinehart, and one brother; Dennie Clontz. Mary was a member of the Beulah Baptist Church, as well as a member of the choir. She also loved to bowl. She is survived by her spouse of 40 years, Glenn Howard Woody Jr., two daughters; Pamela Annette Woody Bauguess of Turkey Pen, Brenda Jo Woody Hooper of Pisgah Forest, two brothers; George Clontz "Buck" of Canton, Ray Clontz of Castle Rock, WA, one sister; Jewell Clontz Orr of Hendersonville, two grandchildren; Kylie and Shane Rhinehart of Pisgah Forest, and a slew of nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held at Beulah Baptist Church Monday, December 31st from 6pm to 9pm. Service will be held January 1st, at Beulah Baptist Church at 2pm lead by Reverend Dewey Barnwell. At other times the family will be at their home. Jackson Funeral Service is in charge of the arrangements.
