Richard Earl Wolf, 73, of Hendersonville, NC passed away Monday, December 25, 2006 peacefully at his home. He is the son of the late Samuel and Christine Wolf and was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley and grand daughter, Jessie. He retired from the US Air Force having served during the Korean Conflict and also retired from the NOAA National Weather Climactic Center. He is survived by two daughters, Jan Overcash and husband Donald of Hendersonville and Deniese Wolf of Waynesville; two sisters, Gloria Callahan and Linda Donaldson both of Ohio; two granddaughters, Crissey and Michelle; two great granddaughters, Skyler and Tayler, great grandson, Tucker and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 7:00 pm Wednesday December 27, 2006 at the Chapel in The Pines of Jackson Funeral Service. The service will follow starting at 7:00 pm. with Rev. Dale Gilbert officiating and Military Rites conducted by the Hedrick-Rhodes V.F.W. Post # 5206, Hubert M. Smith American Legion Post # 77 and the Disabled American Veterans Chapter # 14. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Four Seasons Hospice and Palliative Care; 571 South Allen Road, Flat Rock, NC 28731.
