Carroll "Bud "Ward Sr. 68 of Hendersonville went to be with the Lord suddenly at his home on Tuesday January 24, 2006 A native and life long resident of Henderson County he was the son of the late Donald G. Ward Sr. and Katherine Harris Ward and the husband of the late Doris Ward to whom he was married to for 50 years . He was preceded in death by four brothers Edward, William" Bill", Lawrence and Donald " Jack" Jr. He was a member and served as a deacon of In Jesus Name Church. He will be loved and missed by all who knew him Survivors include one son Carroll F. Ward Jr . And his wife Eydie two daughters Shirley Gifford and her husband Robbie and Dianne Yarley all of Henderson County five grandchildren, Shanda Smith and her husband Jack, Mandy Praytor, Tara Ward Craig and her husband James all of Henderson County, Brandy Crow and her husband Nick and Jonathan Willingham of S.C. seven great grandchildren, four brothers Wendell and his wife Gail, Thomas R. and his wife Jean , Dean and his wife Gail, and Jim and his wife Lorraine Ward all of Henderson County three sisters Frances Gosnell, of Zirconia, Betty Worth and her husband Sonny of Maryland, and Karen Clark and her husband Lamar of S.C. and several brother and sisters in laws. A Funeral Service will be held Friday January 27, 2006 1:30 pm at In Jesus Name Church with Pastor Dale Gilbert officiating . Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 12 pm to 1:30 pm on Friday at the church.
