Elsie Elizabeth Williams Walker, 89 of Orchard Road Dana went home to be with the Lord on Thursday May 04, 2006 at the Elizabeth House following a short illness. Born in Polk County on September 19, 1916 she was the daughter of the late Clem A. Williams and Minnie Bell Smith Williams and the wife of the late Hugh Walker. She was preceded in death by two brothers Aaron and Ottho Williams , one sister Edna Huggins and one great grandchild Jacob Tyler Burrell. A beloved member of Refuge Baptist Church, she was an active member of the Dorcas Sunday School Class,W.M.U. , Choir, Bereaved Meal Ministry and the Saturday Meal Ministry. She was also a Charter Member of the Ladies Aux of Dana V.F.D. She loved quilting , gardening and spending time with her family. Survivors include, two sons, Charles Walker and his wife Mary and Donnie Walker and his wife Lucy all of Dana. One daughter Elaine Baldwin and her husband Ronnie of Fletcher, Five grandsons Charlie Walker Jr and wife Carol, Chuck Walker and Wife Marsha, Donnie Walker Jr. and wife Jessica, Jason Burrell and Kristie Frye nad Tony Burrell all of Dana, One granddaughter Kim Berry and husband Adrian of Etowah, Thirteen great grandchildren, Britteny, Hunter, Shelby, Jade, Kortney, Carley, Jacelyn, Tanner, Jared, Jasmine, Trey, Caleb, William and expecting one on October and several nieces and nephews. A funeral Service will be held Sunday 3pm at Refuge Baptist Church with the Revs. Alvin Melton Glenn Hix and Harold McKinnish officiating . Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends and celebrate her life Saturday from 7 PM TO 8:30 PM at Refuge Baptist Church. And at other times be at the home of Donnie Walker, Orchard Road Dana.
