Nicholas VanSetten, 88, of Horseshoe, NC passed away Saturday January 14, 2006 at Sunnybrook Assisted Living. He was the son of the late Nicholas and Gertrude DoBoer VanSetten and had lived in Henderson County for the past 23 years coming from Nutley, NJ and was preceded in death by his wife Marie VanSetten. He was a US Army Veteran of WWII and was a member of the Hubert M. Smith American Legion Post #77. He is survived by three nieces, Judy VanSetten, Nancy Brown and Kathleen Emerson; two nephews, Robert VanSetten and Howard VanWickel. No services are planned.
