Mintie Mae Hill Thompson, 93, of Hendersonville, died at Pardee Care Center on January 9, 2006, after a period of declining health. She was the daughter of the late Benjamin Bunyan and Rebecca Elizabeth Johnson Hill. She s preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, W. Glenn Thompson, a sister, Josephine Thompson, and a brother, Orville Lorenzo Hill. She was a member of East Flat Rock First Baptist Church and Cynthia Whitted's Fidelis Sunday School Class. Mrs. Thompson was a past Worthy Matron of Rob Morris #299, Order of the Eastern Star. A homemaker, Mae was known for her flower arranging, cake baking skills and generosity. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Juanita and M.K. Sinclair, Jr., a granddaughter and her husband Resi and Larry Dolbee, a great-grandson, Noah Dolbee - all of Hendersonville, and a great-granddaughter Glynnis Mae Dolbee of New York, N.Y. She leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews and cousins that she adored. A memorial service will be held 2 pm Saturday January 14, 2006 at East Flat Rock First Baptist Church with Rev. Harold McKinnish officiating. A private interment was held at Forest Lawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Four Seasons Hospice and Palliative Care at: PO Box 2395, Hendersonville, NC 28793 or to East Flat Rock First Baptist Church at: PO Box 305, East Flat Rock, NC 28726.
