Verda Stepp, 92, of Hendersonville, NC died Monday February 27, 2006 at the Elizabeth House after an extended illness. She was a native and lifelong resident of Henderson County the daughter of the late Thomas and Elizabeth Blackwell Stepp and was preceded in death by four brothers, Walter, Will, Arnold and Nicholas and three sisters, Annie Stepp, Ida Dryman and Eller Sexton. She was a member of Berea Baptist Church. She is survived by her son, Paul Stepp of Hendersonville; a grandson, Randy Stepp and his wife Lisa of Hendersonville and two great grandchildren, Dallas Nicole Stepp and Ethan Allen Stepp and several nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held 2 pm Thursday March 02, 2006 at Crab Creek Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. James Maybin officiating. The family will receive friends Wednesday night from 7 to 8:30 pm at the funeral home and at other times will be at the home of Randy and Lisa Stepp. Jackson Funeral Service is in charge of arrangements.
