Eva Catherine Spencer-Williams, 83, of Hendersonville, NC passed away Tuesday, January 08, 2008 at Pardee Hospital. She was the daughter of the late Mark and Margaret Allen. She had lived in Henderson County since 1994, was a member of the Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church, a member of the Hubert M. Smith V.F.W. post #5206, a volunteer at the Sammy Williams Center, volunteer usher at the Flat Rock Playhouse and was instrumental in starting S.C.A.T.S. She is survived by her sister, Mary Reimann and husband George of Tuxedo; three nieces, Jeannette Condio and husband Michael of West Palm Beach, Florida, Patricia Carman and husband Jim of Zirconia and Catherine Wark and husband James of Stuart, Florida and their children, Lindsay Ann and Aaron Wark. A funeral service will be held 3:00 Friday, January 11, 2008 at the Chapel in The Pines of Jackson Funeral Service. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the chapel. There will also be a service at 1:00 pm at the Byrd, Young and Prill Funeral Home in Fort St. Lucie, Florida with burial following in the White City Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Sammy Williams Center, 301 N Justice St, Hendersonville, NC 28739 or to the Flat Rock Playhouse, 2661 Greenville Hwy, Flat Rock, NC 28731.
