Clifford Wayne Short, 55 of Hendersonville went home to be with our Lord Jesus Christ on the evening of September 16, 2005 at Pardee Hospital. He was the son of the late Glenn Frank and Mary Jane Prior Short, and was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. In addition to his mother survivors include his wife of 33 years, Judy Short, five sons, David Wayne and his wife Suzie, James Lee, Daniel Brent and his wife Kim, Steven Mathew, and Jonathan Howard and his wife Bridgett, one daughter Mary Ann and her husband Edgar Melchor, two brothers Glenn F. Short and Steven K. Short and seven grandchildren. A Funeral Service will be held Tuesday at 2 pm at Hendersonville Pentecostal Church on Upward Road with the Rev. Anthony M. Craver officiating. Burial will follow at Bear Wallow Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 pm Monday at the church. Jackson Funeral Service is in charge of the arrangements.
