Jackie Shelton, 66, of Hendersonville, passed away Friday, April 20, 2007 at the Elizabeth House after and extended illness. She was the daughter of the late Preston and Nellie McCrary and was preceded in death by her husband, J.D. "Sam" Shelton and a brother, Michael McCrary. Jackie was a very special and gracious person and will be missed by all who knew her. She is survived by two sons, Doyle and wife Lisa and granddaughter Maggie Shelton, Kevin Shelton and grandson Aaron Shelton and siblings; Gail Justice, Mitzi McCrary, Dale McCrary and Sherrell McCrary. A memorial service will be held 2:00 pm Tuesday, April 24, 2007 at the Chapel In The Pines of Jackson Funeral Service with Rev. Mike Bennett and Rev. Ernest Brown officiating. Donations may be made to Four Seasons Hospice and Palliative Care 571 S. Allen Road, Flat Rock, NC 28731. A special thank you to the kind staff at the Elizabeth House.
