Margaret Wiley Shearer, 96, of Hendersonville, NC passed away Saturday, October 07, 2006 at the Carolina Village Medical Center. She was born in El
Dorado, Kansas and grew up in Wichita, Kansas. She graduated with honors from Wichita State University and was active in campus activities, was president of Pan Helenic, member of the French Club and
the American Association of University Women. She taught Public School Music in Sedgwick and Augusta, Kansas and directed various church choirs. She married Paul Shearer in 1938. She was active in
the Children's Hospital in Westfield, NJ and the Symphony Auxiliary in Woodbury, NJ. She and her husband, Paul were members of Trinity Presbyterian Church where they sang in the choir for eighteen
years. She is survived by one son, Dan Shearer and wife Kathryn of Charlotte, NC; two daughters, Kim Kluge and husband David of Sheridan, Oregon and Jill Moseng and husband Selmer of Stanfield, NC;
nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, October 14, 2006 at Trinity Presbyterian Church with Rev. Mark Stanley officiating. The family
wishes to express their thanks to Dr. Jerald Pyles, the nursing staff of the Carolina Village Assistance In Living and the Medical Center, and Four Seasons Hospice and Palliative Care. In lieu of
flowers, donations may be made to Trinity Presbyterian Church, 900 Blythe Street, Hendersonville, NC 28791 or to Four Seasons Hospice and Palliative Care at, 571 S. Allen Road, Flat Rock, NC 28731.
