Carlo Frank Sama, Sr. 72, of Hendersonville, NC passed away at his home into Jesus's arms on Sunday, January 15, 2006. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather and always available to his family and others. He was born June 14, 1934 in Lee County, Kentucky to Salvatore and Nora Sama. He had a great love for the outdoors, especially fishing. He retired from Codell Construction and Rockwell International. He serviced in the US Army from 1953 to 1955 with an Honorable Discharge. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Hendersonville. He is survived by his beloved wife of 53 years, Christine Sama; five daughters, two sons, and eight grandchildren; Judy and Ed Dearing, Hendersonville, Carolyn and John Brown, Atlanta GA; Wilma and Ray Hollon, Winchester, KY.; Becky and Kennie Slone, Junction City, KY,; Amy and Phillip Trees, Arden; Frank and Sheila Sama, Hendersonville; John and Tammy Sama, Hendersonville,; Jason and Alicia Sama, Justin Sama, Erin, Joshua and John Slone, Emily and Nathan Lopez and Nathan and Gabrielle Trees. The family will receive friends at the home between 2-5 pm on Tuesday January 17, 2006. Memorial gifts can be sent to the Senior Adult Class at the First Baptist Church of Hendersonville. Jackson Funeral Service and Crematory is in charge of arrangements.
