Burnize L. "Nanny" Presley, 76, of Fletcher, NC went to be with the Lord, Saturday, September 15, 2007. She was a native and lifelong resident of Henderson County the daughter of the late Jasper Oval Lamb and Mary Josephine King Lamb. She was preceded in death by her two husbands, Erskine Drake and John Presley, four brothers and one sister. She was a loving mother, sister, grandmother, friend and neighbor and retired in 1990 from General Electric. She is survived by three daughters, Brenda Clarke and loving friend Joey McDuffie of Wallace, SC, Sharon Maxwell and loving friend Bobbie of Saluda and Connie Morgan and husband Pete of Tuxedo; a sister, Vaudia Jackson of the Upward Community; four grandsons, one granddaughter, two great-grandsons and several nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held 11:00 am Tuesday, September 18, 2007 at Jones Cemetery with Rev. Mike Engle officiating. The family will receive friends Monday night from 6:30 to 8:30 pm at the funeral home and at other times will be at her home in Fletcher. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Alzheimer's Association of WNC, 31 College Place Ste D320, Asheville, N.C. 28801-2644 or to Four Seasons Hospice and Palliative Care, 571 South Allen Road, Flat Rock, NC 28731.
