Edward Dewitt Parris, 74, of Hendersonville, NC went to be with the Lord, Sunday June 24, 2007 at his home. He was a native and lifelong resident of Henderson County the son of the late Arnold and Laura Davis Parris and was preceded in death by his wife, Evelyn Cornelia Parris and two sons, Dennis Glenn Parris and Jerry Edward Parris. He retired from Berkley Mills after over 23 years of service. He is survived by three sons, Johnny Turner of Inman, SC, David Turner and wife Diane of Flat Rock and Jeffrey Keith Parris of the home; two daughters, Susan Edwards and husband Randy of Dana and Laura Parris McCracken of the home; two brothers, Oscar Parris and James Parris both of Hendersonville; eleven grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held 2:00 pm Wednesday, June 27, 2007 at the Chapel In the Pines of Jackson Funeral Service with Rev. Arnold Vess officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Tuesday night from 7:00 to 9:00 pm at the funeral home and at other times will be at the home of Susan and Randy Edwards.
