Sondra JoAnn Paris, 65, of Flat Rock, NC went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, April 12, 2006. She was born April 28, 1940, the daughter of the late Everrett Orie Surratt and Nadine Berry Surratt and the wife of the late Hugh (Tig) Paris who died in 1999. She was a member of Living Water Baptist Church and worked at General Electric for 20 years until her retirement. She is survived by a son, Donald Hyder and wife Judy of Flat Rock; a daughter Angela Wortman and husband Steve of Flat Rock; three grandchildren, Misty Reese and husband Tim of Flat Rock, Dustin Wortman and Megan Wortman both of Flat Rock; two brothers, Robert T. Surratt and wife Judy of Sunset Beach, NC and Franklin J. Surratt and wife Yvette of Asheville; several nieces, nephews, family and friends. A graveside service will be held 2:00 pm Friday, April 14, 2006 at Forest Lawn Memorial Park with Rev. Mike Stewart officiating. The family will receive friends Friday from 12:00 to 1:00 pm at the funeral home and at other times will be at the home. Jackson Funeral Service is in charge of the arrangements.
