Willie Lucille Jones Pace, 81, of Flat Rock, NC died Wednesday, April 12, 2006 at Pardee Hospital. She was born in Henderson County, lived briefly in Maryland then returned to Henderson County in 1968. She was the daughter of the late Miles Jones and Ollie Blackwell Jones and was preceded in death by her husband, Jessie Carl "Jake" Pace. She was a member of East Flat Rock United Methodist Church and retired from Pardee Hospital after over 30 years of service. She is survived by a daughter, Syble McMurray of Flat Rock; a grandson, Carl McMurray and wife Teresa of Flat Rock; a great-grandchild, Matthew McMurray; a brother, Rusty Jones of Green Creek, NC; two sisters, Sadie Lowrance of Loganville, GA and Vera Jean Gibbons of Hendersonville and several nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held 6:00 pm Saturday, April 15, 2006 at the Upward Methodist Church with Rev. Glenn Camp officiating. Burial will follow in Jones Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday night from 6: 00 to 8:00 pm at the funeral home and at other times will be at the residence. Jackson Funeral Service is in charge of arrangements.
