Lillian McCall Pace 87
Lillian McCall Pace of Henderson County passed into the care of her Lord and loved ones gone before on Tuesday, August 7, 2007.
She was born in 1920 to the late Calvin & Hattie Staton McCall and was the wife of P. Edward Pace who preceded her to heaven in 1981. Her brothers were the late Edward T McCall and Allen McCall.
She was a native and lifelong resident of Henderson County. A member of Ebenezer Baptist Church and along with her husband Ed was a 40 year member of the Henderson County Curb Market. She will be remembered there for the beautiful flowers she raised and sold that were her passion. She was a Girl Scout leader at Suburban Heights Community Club for many years as well a member of the Home Demonstration Club. She loved to travel and liked to tell how she had seen most of the US and parts of Europe. She was a homemaker, a gardener, a sister, a friend but most of all a loving mother to her daughter, granddaughters and great grandchildren. We will all miss her deeply.
She is survived by her daughter Doris P Gardner; her granddaughters and their husbands, Rita & Bruce Bergstrom, Wendy & Alan Hassell, Kathryn & John Cregier, Debra & Mark Sawyer; great grandchildren Jaime Harmon, Joey Harmon, Kalivn Cregier, Geoff Sawyer, and Joey Sawyer; great-great grandchild Maddisyn Belle Hubbard; a sister Catherine M Capps and her husband Leland(Buck); and a brother James O McCall and his wife Betty; sisters-in-law Willavene McCall and Foy McCall; many nieces &nephews and her two lifelong friends and traveling companions, Austine Moss and Estelle Ward.
Visitation will be held 2:00 pm Sunday August 12, 2007 at the Chapel in the Pines of Jackson Funeral Service, Hendersonville with a celebration of her life to follow at 3:00pm. Burial will be at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Tracy Grove Rd, immediately following the service.
