Jessie Carl "JC" or "Jake" Pace, 82, of Flat Rock, NC died Sunday March 20, 2005 at the Elizabeth House. He was born in Henderson County, lived
briefly in Maryland then returned to Henderson County in 1968. He was the son of the late Hiram King Pace and Mamie Ward Pace and was the youngest of fourteen siblings who preceded him in death. He
was a member of Upward Methodist Church, the Anacostia Masonic Lodge #21, National Rifle Association and the V.F.W. Post #5206. He was a U.S. Army Veteran of WWII. He is survived by his wife, Willie
Jones Pace; a daughter, Syble McMurray of Flat Rock; a grandson, Carl McMurray and wife Teresa of Flat Rock; a great-grandchild "on the way" and several nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be
held 4:00 pm Thursday March24, 2005 at the Upward Methodist Church with Rev. Glenn Camp and Dr. George Jones officiating. Burial will follow in Jones Cemetery. Masonic rites will be conducted by the
Kedron Masonic Lodge #387. The family will receive friends Wednesday night from 6:00 to7:30 pm at the funeral home and at other times will be at the residence. Donations may be made to the Elizabeth
House, 511 S. Allen Road, Flat Rock, NC 28731. Jackson Funeral Service is in charge of arrangements.
