Albert Ray Morgan, 80, of Mills River went to be with the Lord Thursday, March 16, 2006. He had lived in Henderson County for most of his life, was the son of the late Parley and Anna Morgan and was preceded in death by his wife Myrtle Lee "Bea" McMahan Morgan, three sisters and five brothers. He was a member of Forge Valley Baptist Church, the Mills River Lions Club and was a volunteer with the Mills River Volunteer Fire Department. He is survived by five sons, Odell, Gary and Larry Morgan and Gene Moore all of Mills River and Wayne Morgan of Balfour; two sisters, Thelma Johnson and Mildred Ridley; ten grandchildren, six great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held 2 pm Sunday March 19, 2006 at the Chapel In The Pines of Jackson Funeral Service with Rev. Bradley Chappell officiating. Burial will follow at Campground Cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday night from 7:00 to 8:30 pm at the funeral home and at other times will be at the home of Gary Morgan. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Forge Valley Baptist Church Building Fund. Jackson Funeral Service is in charge of the arrangements.
