Eva Mae Taylor McClure, 85, of The Upward Community passed away peacefully with her loving family at her side Friday, February 23, 2007 at Park Ridge Hospital after an extended illness. She was a native and lifelong resident of Henderson County, the daughter of the late Fuller B. Taylor and Lula Crane Taylor and was preceded in death by her husband, J. D. McClure who died in 1973. She was a member of Etowah Baptist Church. Surviving are two sons, Steve McClure and wife Becky of Fruitland and Ronnie McClure and wife Beth of Andrews, NC; three daughters, Brenda Niehoff of Dana, Darlene Stepp of Mtn. Home and Marsha Russ of Hendersonville; two brothers, Lewis Taylor and Fred Taylor both of Henderson County; six sisters, Reba Justice, Agnes Taylor, Viola Rhodes, Elsie Laughter, Nellie Young and Dorothy Edwards all of Henderson County; seven grandchildren, Tamara Barton, David Niehoff, Curt McClure, Christy Smith, Jason Niehoff, Joshua Russ and Amanda Stepp; three step-grandchildren Chasity Wehunt, Daniel and Matthew Beddingfield; four great-grandchildren, Alexis Jones, Meg Barton, Abigail Smith and Ethan Barton; one step-great-grandson, Caleb Wehunt and many nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held 2:00 pm Monday, February 26, 2007 at the Chapel In The Pines of Jackson Funeral Service with the Revs. Jerry Warren, Dennis Horne Jerry Lively and Ronnie McClure officiating. Pallbearers will be Curt McClure, Jason Niehoff, David Niehoff, Joshua Russ, Jeremy Smith and Larry Barton. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Sunday night from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at the funeral home and at other times will be at her home on S. Orchard Road.
