Dennis Graham Lowe, 87, of Hendersonville, NC passed away Wednesday, January 09, 2008 at the Elizabeth House. He was the son of Nathaniel and Lamotte Medford Lowe and was married to the late Pauline Anita Mottley in April 17, 1952 who died in Hendersonville on March 01, 1994. He graduated from Erdiston Teachers College in Barbados, worked first as a teacher, as a Headmaster and finally as an administrator of schools for the Ministry of Education in Barbados. He retired to Hendersonville in 1991 and was a member of All Saints Anglican Church. He is survived by two daughters, Eleanor Catlyn of Barbaods and Dr. Pamela Lowe-Hoyte and her husband Dr. Otho Hoyte of Hendersonville, one son, Graham Lowe and wife Beverley Lowe of Massachusetts, an adopted daughter, Marjorie Browne, grandchildren, Jonathan Brome of Chapel Hill, Alexandria Lowe of Massachusetts and Amanda Hoyte of Hendersonville, an adopted granddaughter, Olivia Simpson of Hendersonville. A memorial service will be held 11:00 am Saturday, January 19, 2008 at the All Saints Anglican Church, 15 McDowell Road, Mills River, NC. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The Elizabeth House 581 S. Allen Road, Flat Rock, N.C. 28731. Jackson Funeral Service and Crematory is in charge of the arrangements.
