Ina Lyday Justus, 78, of Hendersonville, NC has gone to be with the Lord June 01, 2007. She was preceded in death by her mother, Eula Whiteside, her step-father Asbury N. Whiteside, her loving husband, F. C. Justus Jr., grandparents, Haskell and Hannah Lyday whom she made her home with in her early years, aunt, Violet Albert, uncles, J. C. Lyday and Boyd Lyday and her beloved great niece Heather Smith Peterson. She was a native of Transylvania County and lived in Henderson County since 1937 and was a member of the Hendersonville First Baptist Church. She retired from Ecusta and most recently retired after over 30 years of service from the NC Coal Institute as Executive Secretary and had served on the Henderson County Election Polls. She is survived by two nieces whom she loved as daughters, Penny Smith and Linda Baker; a sister, Georgia Marie Wood and husband Walter of Hendersonville; niece, Lisa Wood; nephews, Nick Griffin, Christopher Griffin and Leonard Wood; great nephews, Jason Baker, Jeffrey Tyson Smith and Presley Williams; great nieces, Bethany B. Carlson and Rebecca Hawkins; great-great nieces, Olivia Carlson and Aisling Smith and cousins, Billy and Stephen Albert and Helen Pitts. A cryptside service will be held 2:00 pm Thursday, June 07, 2007 at the Mausoleum of Forest Lawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends one hour prior to services in the mausoleum. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to one's favorite charity. Jackson Funeral Service is in charge of the arrangements.
