Rev. Claude Alfred Justice, 74, of Hendersonville, passed away Friday February 23, 2007 at his residence. He was a native and lifelong resident of Henderson County, the son of the late Alfred C. Justice and Helen Hyder Justice, and he was preceded in death by a daughter Vickie Lynn Justice, two sisters, Lillian Green and Elsie Morrow and a brother, Calvin Justice. He graduated from Dana School, served in the US. Army during the Korean Conflict, was a pastor at Upward Kelly Memorial Church and Union Hill Holiness Baptist Church where he is a current member and retired from General Electric after 32 years of service. He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Nellie Frisbee Justice, a daughter, Rebecca Carroll and husband Douglas of the Upward Community, a brother, Andrew Justice of Hendersonville, a sister, Dorothy Lance of Las Cruces, New Mexico; three grandchildren, Sgt. Justin E. Carroll, serving with the US Marine Corps., April Bishop and husband Chris of Hendersonville and Courtney Carroll of the Upward Community; two great-grandchildren, Austin Carroll of Hendersonville and Emily Bishop of Hendersonville and several nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held 2:00 pm Wednesday, February 28, 2007 at the Chapel In The Pines of Jackson Funeral Service with Rev. Ed Frazier, Rev. Mike Jackson and Rev. D. G. Jackson officiating. Burial will follow in the Union Hill Holiness Baptist Church Cemetery where Military Graveside Rites will be conducted by the Hedrick-Rhodes V.F.W. Post # 5206, Hubert M. Smith American Legion Post # 77 and the Disabled American Veterans Chapter # 14. The family will receive friends Tuesday night from 7:00 to 9:00 pm at the funeral home and at other times will be at the home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Four Seasons Hospice and Palliative Care, 571 S. Allen Road, Flat Rock, NC 28731.
