Virgie Mae Jackson, 76, of Dana, NC died Tuesday, June 05, 2007 in Pardee Care Center. She was born in Polk County to the late Martin and Lora Mae Thompson and was also preceded in death by her husband, Grady H. Jackson, daughter, Cindy Jackson and two brothers, Hoyt and Homer. She lived in Henderson County for the past fifty years, worked at Spinning Wheel Rugs and was a member of Clear Creek Holiness Baptist Church. She is survived by one son, Dennis G. Jackson and wife Susan of Fayetteville, TN; six sisters, Velma Cantrell, I.V. Summey, Geraldine McMinn, Doris Thompson,Rev. Nannie Parris and Lou Lookadoo; three grandchildren, Malcom Stepp, Matthew and Candy Jackson and numerous nieces and nephews. A funeral service was held 11:00 am Friday, June 08, 2007 at Clear Creek Holiness Baptist Church with Rev. Nannie Parris and Rev. Michael Jackson officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park. The family received friends Thursday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Four Seasons Hospice and Palliative Care, 571 South Allen Road, Flat Rock, NC 28731. Jackson Funeral Service is in charge of the arrangements.
