Jack Jackson, 72, of Edneyville, NC went to be with the Lord Tuesday, September 25, 2007. He was a native and lifelong resident of Henderson County, the son of the late Cody C. Jackson Sr. and Ethel Jones Jackson and was preceded in death by his twin brother, Mack Jackson. He was an apple grower on the family farm, an avid fisherman and a member of Mtn. Home Baptist Church. He served in the US Army. He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Rachel Wagner Jackson; his sons, Michael Jack Jackson, his wife Sabrina and their children, Sawyer and Tanner of Charlotte, Robert Hugh Jackson, his wife Rene and their children, Nathan and Jacob of Spartanburg and Jack Hempel, his wife Janette and their children, Jessica, Scott and Brett of Davison, Michigan; two brothers, Cody Jackson Jr. and his wife Eileen of Hendersonville and Leon Jackson and wife Brenda of Hendersonville; Mack's wife Ginny of Hendersonville and many loved nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held 2:00 pm Saturday September 29, 2007 at Mtn. Home Baptist Church with Rev. Craig Garren and Rev. June Dela-Fuente officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. A reception will follow in the church following the burial. The family will receive friends one hour prior to services in the church. At other times the family will be at the home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Mtn. Home Baptist Church, PO Box 288, Edneyville, NC 28727. Jackson Funeral Service is in charge of the arrangements.
