Edna Williams Hoots Huggins, 79 of Dana passed away Saturday April 15, 2006 at Pardee Hospital. She was a native of Polk County moving to Henderson
County in 1940, she was the daughter of the late Clem and Minnie Williams. She was preceded in death by her husbands Donell Hoots and Marvin Huggins, two brothers, Aaron Williams and Otho Williams
and a granddaughter Ginger Smathers. She retired from G.E. where she was employed in 1955 when the plant first opened. She was also a beautician, a talented painter and enjoyed reading and working in
her flower garden. She was a member of Refuge Baptist Church. Survivors include, one son Jerry Hoots, one daughter Carolyn Hoots Nicholson and her husband Lee Roy all of Dana, one sister Elsie Walker
of Dana, one grandson Donell Hoots and his wife Bobbi and five granddaughters, Angie N. Meno and her husband Larry, Candace N. Cagle and her husband Tim, Katina Smathers, Lisa Anders, and Brandie
LaFever and her husband Glenn, six great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held Tuesday 11 Am at Refuge Baptist Church with the Rev. Alvin Melton officiating.
Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday from 7 to 8:30 pm at the funeral home and at other times will be at the home of Carolyn Nicholson. In lieu of
flowers memorials may be made to; Four Seasons Hospice and Palliative Care: 571 South Allen Road Flat Rock NC 28731. Jackson Funeral Service is in charge of arrangements.
