Vinia A. Hudgins, 95, passed away on Saturday, October 07, 2006. She was a lifelong resident of Henderson County. She was the youngest daughter of the late James Anderson Hudgins and Sallie Lyda Hudgins and was preceded in death by her brothers, Thomas General Hudgins, Fred L. Hudgins and James Ladson Hudgins and her sister, Nellie May Roper. She leaves behind several nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm Wednesday at St. Paul's Episcopal Church with Rev. Ron Greiser officiating. Burial will follow at St. Paul's Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday night from 7:00 to 9:00 pm at Jackson Funeral Service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Four Seasons Hospice and Palliative Care at 571 S. Allen Road, Flat Rock, NC 28731.
