Darcus Elizabeth Beddingfield Harrison, 66, of Hendersonville, NC passed away Thursday, January 25, 2007 at the Laurels of Hendersonville.
She was a native of Henderson County and the daughter of the late Donald and Clemontine Ledbetter Beddingfield and was preceded in death by her husband, Al Harrison and a son, Kurt Strobel.
She was a graduate of Edneyville High School, worked for Tampa General Hospital in the Neo-Natal Unit, a member of St. Paul Episcopal Church in Largo, Florida, was a Guarida Elidia and was active in many sports activities.
She is survived by two sons, James Strobel and wife Sherry and Stephen Strobel all of Alexandria, VA; two stepsons, Rick and Paul Harrison both of Canada; a stepdaughter, Donna Robins of Canada; a brother, Eugene Beddingfield and wife Gail of Hendersonville; two sisters, Judy B. Lyda and Rendell B. Brackett and husband Roger all of Hendersonville; two granddaughters, Hailee and Heather, five step-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held 2:30 pm Sunday January 28, 2007 at the Fruitland United Methodist Church with Rev. Jerry Warren officiating. The family will receive friends thirty minutes prior to services in the church and at other times will be at the home of Judy Lyda.
A private burial will be held at a later date.
