Mary Elizabeth Edney Hanan, 72, of Rutherfordton, NC went to be with the Lord, Friday, January 12, 2007 at the Cleveland Regional Medical Center. She was the daughter of the late Pink and Ruby Swink. She is survived by three daughters, Shelah Edney of Forest City, Wanda Ferguson of Rutherfordton and Judy Edney of Forest City; four brothers, Charles Swink of Shelby, NC, Pink Swink Jr. of Georgia, Paul Swink of Falston, NC and Harold Swink of Lawndale, NC; four sisters, Jeanette Scruggs of Forest City, NC, Mildred Padgett of Moorehead City, NC, Linda Anderson of Lenoir, NC and Patsy Baker of Morganton; three grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held 4:00 pm Monday, January 15, 2007 at the Evangel Fellowship Church on Oakland Road in Spindale with Rev. Terry Howell officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to services in the church. Jackson Funeral Service and Crematory is in charge of the arrangements.
