William Horace Guice, 81, of Saluda, NC went to be with the Lord Wednesday, April 12, 2006 at Pardee Hospital. He was a native and lifelong resident of Saluda, NC and the son of the late Nathan Clint Guice and Roxanna Revis Guice and was preceded in death by a daughter, Doris Ann Guice and a sister, Eula Gordon. He was a member and deacon of Macedonia Baptist Church. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 56 years, Effie Blackwell Guice; two sons, Billy Guice and wife Christine and Jerry D. Guice and wife Debbie all of Saluda; a daughter, Fay Guice Collins and husband Wade of Flat Rock; four grandchildren, Susan Collins Johnson and husband Chris, Amy Guice, Julie Guice and Kerry Guice; two great grandchildren, Matthew Johnson and Nathan Johnson and several nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held 3:00 pm Saturday, April 15, 2006 at Macedonia Baptist Church with Rev. Sherrill Moore and Rev. Raymond Guice officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday night from 6:30 to 8:00 pm at the funeral home. Jackson Funeral Service is in charge of the arrangements.
