Estelle Dalton Gilbert, 79, of Hendersonville, NC died Sunday February 5, 2006 at The Laurels of Hendersonville. She was a native and lifelong resident of Henderson County the daughter of the late Theodore and Eva McGraw Dalton and was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years Bob Gilbert and a brother, Tim Dalton. She attended In Jesus Name Church and was of the Baptist Faith. She is survived by two daughters, Evelyn Nelon and husband Lester of Black Mountain and Brenda Lee Gilbert and fiancé Mike Laughter of Hendersonville; one brother, Arthur Dalton of Hendersonville; five sisters, Ann Morgan, Myrtle Dunlap and Irene Haynes all of Hendersonville, Marie Warren of Bat Cave and Julia Sapek of Taylors, SC; one grandson, J. R. Nelon and several nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held 2 pm Wednesday at Mt. Moriah Baptist Church with Rev. Bryan Melton and Rev. Dale Gilbert officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday night from 6 to 8 pm at the funeral home.
