Ruth Sinclair Sentell Gardner, 100, of Hendersonville, NC and formerly of Lancaster, SC passed away Thursday, November 02, 2006 at the Brian Center. She was born in Inman, SC and lived most of her
life in Lancaster, SC and was the daughter of the late Reverend Wade Sinclair and Tennette Justus Sinclair. She was the widow of Mr. Barney L. Gardner of Lancaster, SC and was formerly married to Mr.
Thomas Dorman Sentell and was also preceded in death by a daughter, Mrs. Ruth Sentell Freeman Broussard of Augusta, GA, a step-son, Mr. Bruce Gardner of Lancaster, SC, three brothers, Reverend Hubert
S. Sinclair, Mr. Herbert A. Sinclair and Mr. Frank Sinclair. She was a graduate of Long Creek Academy, a member of the East Flat Rock First Baptist Church in East Flat Rock, NC and the First Baptist
Church in Lancaster, SC, a 60 year member of the Eastern Star, a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution and a member of the White Shrine of Jerusalem. She is survived by one daughter,
Mrs. Tennette Leonhirth of Murfreesboro, TN; four grandchildren, Mrs. Collette Larger Clark, Augusta, GA, G. Porter Freeman III of Denver, CO, Mrs. Miriam Sibrel of Nashville, TN and Dr. Jim
Leonhirth of Murfreesboro, TN; one great granddaughter, Mrs. Lisa Nolan of Nashville, TN, two great-great grandchildren, Chase and Elaina and a son-in-law, Mr. Roy L. Broussard of Augusta, GA. A
prayer service for the immediate family will be held 1:00 pm Tuesday, November 07, 2006 at Jackson Funeral Service with Rev. Rick Ables officiating. Private burial will follow in Oakdale
Cemetery.
