Michael C. Gaddy, 55, of Etowah, NC went to be with the Lord, Friday, January 11, 2008 peacefully at his home. He had lived in Henderson County for the past 30 years coming from Haywood County and was the son of the late William and Gertrude Medford Gaddy and was preceded in death by a brother, William Gaddy. He served in the US Navy, was a volunteer with the Etowah-Horseshoe Fire Department and a member of the Hendersonville Pentecostal Holiness Church. He is survived by his loving wife of 37 years, Phyllis Franklin Gaddy; a son, Kenneth Gaddy and wife Criston of Dana; a daughter, Amanda Medford and husband Scotty of Bethel, NC; a brother, George J. Gaddy of Haywood County; five grandchildren, Nathan Medford, Chris Medford, Andrew Medford, Brice Gaddy and Kenli Gaddy. A funeral service will be held 2:00 pm Sunday, January 13, 2008 at the Hendersonville Pentecostal Holiness Church with Rev. Anthony Craver officiating. Burial will follow at Beulah Baptist Church Cemetery with military honors conducted by the Henderson County Honor Guard. The family will receive friends Saturday night from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at Jackson Funeral Service and at other times will be at the home of Kenneth and Criston Gaddy in Dana.
