Gladys Alma Dimsdale Dalton, 76, of Edneyville, NC went to be with the Lord Saturday December 3, 2005. She was a native and lifelong resident of Henderson County the daughter of the late Andy and Eva Dimsdale. She was a member of Mountain Home Baptist Church in Edneyville, was a loving Christian wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother and will be dearly missed by all. She is survived by her loving husband of 59 years, John M. Dalton; one son, Roy Dalton and wife Sharon; four daughters, Ruby Lefler and husband Wilburn, Margaret Cox and husband Arnold, Kathryn Carroll and husband Larry and Barbara Farmer and husband Gary; seven grandchildren, six great grandchildren and a sister Geneva Gregory of Fairview. A funeral service will be held 2:00 pm Tuesday December 6, 2005 at Mountain Home Baptist Church with Rev. Chris Pace and Rev. Bill Landreth officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday night from 7:00 to 8:30 pm at the funeral home and at other times will be at the home. Jackson Funeral Service is in charge of the arrangements.
