Vernell Madge Edney Dale, 85, of Flat Rock, NC died Monday, June 11, 2007 at her home after an extended illness. She was the daughter of the late Ransom and Dollie Varden Vance Edney. She lived in Henderson County for the past 20 years coming from Decatur, Georgia. She graduated from the University of Tennessee with a degree in nursing. She is survived by a son, Richard Dale Jr. and wife Barbara Ann of Flat Rock; four sister, Vivian Letterman of Mt. Home, Jackie Hollifield of Kings Mtn, NC, Peggy Inman and June Williams both of Hendersonville; three grandchildren, Richard Andrew Dale of Brevard, Marianne Dale Laughter of Hendersonville and Sherry Lynn Dale of Tennessee and several nieces and nephews. Jackson Funeral Service and Crematory is in charge of the arrangements.
