Sarah Elizabeth Case
Sarah was born May 14, 1916 in Black Mountain NC to Lewis Ledford and Sylvia Brown Ledford. Sarah was known as "Lib" by those who loved her.
During her lifetime Lib was a Girl Scout leader with the Edneyville Girl Scouts in addition she was a member of the Oddfellow's Lodge. Lib always had a great love for gardening and loved to read poetry, her favorite author was Henry Thoreau.
She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
She was preceded in death by her husband Frank Grady Case, two sisters Katherine Carlisle, Carrie Briggs and one brother Robert "Tuck" Ledford.
Lib is survived by her three children, a son Franklin Case and his wife, Elaine, two daughters Rita Hielmann and her husband Harry, and Susan Camp. Eight grand children, Sarah Haight, Andrew Hielmann, Annette Baker, Darron Case, Darryl Case, Billy Case, Beth Hernandez, and Jonathan Camp. She is also survived by ten great grandchildren.
A grave side service is planned for 10:30 am Wednesday April 12, 2006 at Ebenezer Baptist Church Cemetery with Dr. Michael Smith officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Hospice of the Carolina Foothills, 130 Forest Glen Drive, Columbus, NC 28722.
