Trina Leigh Shepherd Simpson, Loving Mother, Wife and Special Friend, age 48, of Flat Rock, NC passed away Friday, March 14, 2008 at the Elizabeth House. She was native and lifelong resident of Henderson County and the daughter of Gene and Ruth Cooper Shepherd of Flat Rock. She was a housewife and member of Mud Creek Baptist Church. Surviving in addition to her parents is her loving husband of 22 years, David Simpson; one son, Michael Simpson of Hendersonville, her mother-in-law, Barbara Simpson of Canal Point, Florida, four sisters, Kim Yonce of Charlotte, Pam Russell of Hendersonville, Kelly Hobbs of Hendersonville and Stacey Shepherd of Hendersonville; two nieces nephew, Haley Starr , Brandy Lanier and Ethan Cairnes all of Hendersonville. A service will be held from 9:00 to 10:00 am Saturday, March 15, 2008 at Jackson Funeral Service. Jackson Funeral Service and Crematory is in charge of the arrangements.
