It has been three years since Chaise Jeffery Ladas (18) was killed on Highway 64 in Henderson County by an underage drunk driver. Although the memorials have long since past some of his closest friends still find it difficult to accept. Ms. Refenes of the Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science says "Some people find it difficult to say good bye and put proper closure to those who are taken from us so young and so tragic and this is exactly what I am finding when I speak with his friends. We all want to speak about Chaise and read poem he wrote, express his charm and talents. That's why I am orchestrating the avenue for chaise's friends and loved one to do just that." Experts say the best way to begin emotional healing for young adults, is to be able to express their thoughts in an open forum among family and friends that all share one very important feeling, their love for Chaise Ladas. A sincere and special thanks to Jay Jackson owner of Jackson Funeral Service who is working close with Ms. Refenes to re-memorialize Chaise with a photo slide tribute and the use of his chapel. The service will take place on April 26th, 2008 at 2:00PM at Jackson Funeral Service and Crematory 1101 Greenville Hwy, Hendersonville, NC The public is welcome and encouraged to attend.
