Beatrice Louise "B" Humphrey, 88, of Hendersonville began rejoicing with Jesus Christ in Heaven Sunday, April 13, 2008. She was born in Joliet, Illinois to the late Louis J. Bolte and Minnie Bolte and lived in Henderson County for the past 28 years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bruce Humphrey. She was a member of Covenant Presbyterian Church, a volunteer with the Hendersonville Police Department and the Hendersonville Fire Department and retired from the Hendersonville City Finance Department. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Gretchen H. Cree and Col. David C. Cree (U.S. Army) of Hendersonville; a grandson, Cpl. Matthew B. Cree (U.S. Marine Corps) and a granddaughter, Ensign Megan L. Cree (U.S. Coast Guard). A memorial service will be held 11:00 am Wednesday, April 16, 2008 at the Covenant Presbyterian Church with Rev. Chip Vining and Rev. Don Taws officiating. Following the service the family will receive friends during a luncheon in the Fellowship Hall. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Covenant Concert Series Music Fund, 2101 Kanuga Road, Hendersonville, NC 28739 or to the Eagle Warrior Leadership Center, PO Box 130, Gap Mills, West Virginia, 24941.
