Marguearite V. Hudgins Bridges, 79, of Penrose, born April 28, 1928, passed away Thursday, February 28th, 2008. She was the daughter of the late Mahlon Hudgins, Sr. and Dorothy Collins Hudgins. She was preceded in death by her husband, James W. Bridges, Sr. and by three sisters, Bell Laughter, Helen Jean Jones and Deleno Jackson She is survived by her children, Donna Bridges Ball and Husband Bruce, of Penrose, James W Bridges Jr. and wife Rita of Hendersonville , three brothers, David Hudgins of Arkansas, Sam Hudgins of Flat Rock, Mahlon Hudgins, Jr. of Dana, and a sister Edith McCall of Raleigh, three granddaughters, Tina Bridges and Richard Garren of Ridgeland, SC, Christy Craig and Greg Craig of Candler, Amanda Metcalf and Brent Metcalf of Brevard and with great pride, truly treasured her 8 great-grandchildren. No joy greater than these. The family will receive friends Saturday, March 1, 2008 at Chapel in the Pines from 6:30-8:30 p.m. At other times the family will be at the home of Donna and Bruce Ball. The service will be at Chapel in the Pines on Sunday, March 2nd, 2008 at 3:00 with the Reverend Jesse Bailey presiding. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
